With the new year just a few weeks away, we can’t believe we’re writing the final update of 2020! On some days it feels like a year that has flown by, whereas on others it feels as if we have been stuck in 2020 forever.
Even as Christmas approaches it’s been a busy month. A reminder that despite our remote working arrangements, we are committed to the same high-quality service that you expect.

An unexpected arrival
A few months ago, we shared the fantastic news that our Office Manager, Olivia, and her husband, Connor, were expecting their first child – a baby girl – on 1 February 2021.
Well, following an extremely fortuitously timed ante-natal appointment which found that Olivia was suffering with severe pre-eclampsia, little baby Grace made her surprise early arrival at 10.02 am on 24 November.
She is truly a little bundle of joy, weighing only 2.5lbs.
Mum and baby are doing really well, and Olivia and Connor are hoping that Grace can come home early in the new year.
Our office hours over the festive break
Our team have worked tirelessly this year to maintain our service to existing clients, embracing both remote working and new technology. Ultimately, our single focus has been on serving and reassuring our clients in what has been a difficult few months.
It has been an extremely tough year for everybody, and we recognise that we all need an opportunity to recharge our batteries and look forward to a positive 2021.
Consequently, our offices will be closed from Wednesday 23 December until Monday 4 January 2021 to ensure our team get a well-deserved break and enjoy time with their families, friends, and loved ones.
On that note, we’re delighted to confirm that will be welcoming back our Office Manager, Lucy Byrom, from maternity leave in January.
Other than Ian and Casey, Lucy is the longest-serving member of the TFP, and everyone is really looking forward to her return.
