It has been one month since starting at TFP as a ‘Trainee Paraplanner’, my first month has been an exciting month transitioning into this new role. Before starting this role, I always wondered when I would get the chance to write my own ‘Blog’!
The first month has been an incredible learning experience and it is amazing that I get to work with TFP and be part of the ‘TRIBE’, I feel very honoured that they chose me for the position.
I am not new to the financial services industry, having previously worked for an IFA and Mortgage Broker. Before this I was a Secondary School Maths, Business and Finance teacher for 17 years and I am really pleased to be able to use my transferable skills in my new role such as carrying the calculations required for ‘Taxation’ and building good relationships with our clients.
The team at TFP have been so very welcoming and supportive and I am so pleased to have now started and I am finding my feet at TFP. The client experience managers, paraplanners and advisers have taken so much time already explaining, guiding and encouraging me as a new ‘Trainee Paraplanner’.
My role will also involve studying the CII- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. I have already started this and I can already see how valuable it is to be able to link my new role to the theoretical knowledge. I hope to be fully qualified within one year, watch this space!
Starting my new role has brought about a great challenge and it is very fulfilling. Everyday brings new learning and every action undertaken will allow for me to contribute meaningfully to both the firm and our clients.
